The Selection author Kiera Cass recently tweeted an article by The Examiner claiming the redone pilot has been given a heavy injection of Game of Thrones with alot of sex and raunchiness (The CW even hired a GOT veteran director and crew). Cass commented that it is everything the article stated and more and an R rating would be too generous for the show.
